Leadership Transition at Studley
After 31 years as our Managing Director and as he celebrates his 65th year, John Hyland has decided it’s the right time to take a step back from the role. While this marks a significant change for our company, we’re pleased to share that John will continue to be a central part of Studley, remaining as an active Director as we move forward.
John’s support and mentorship have impacted all of us, and while this change will be felt across the company, we couldn’t be happier for him as he steps into this well-deserved new chapter, enabling him to have more time outside of his working life.
John will continue to provide his knowledge and insight as we move forward and with this strong foundation, we are extremely pleased to announce that Karl Brierton will now take on the responsibilities of Managing Director after 40 years with Studley and continue to lead the company with the same dedication and expertise that characterise his approach.
Karl said “John’s role as MD in the company is a huge gap to fill but I am confident that with the team we have, the transition will run smoothly and bring future success to the business. The company is in a great position with a strong order book into 2025 and with the new Scaffolding division adding to our existing Mechanical and Electrical offering, the outlook is exciting.”
We want to extend our enormous thanks to John, not just for everything he’s done for Studley, but for the personal impact he’s had on each of us. His influence will no doubt continue to shape the company, especially as the next generation learn from his deep understanding of the business.
