DEODOURISER PROJECT SECOND PHASE COMPLETE

Studley are pleased to announce the successful completion of the second phase deodouriser project at New Britain Oils Ltd, Liverpool.

The purpose of the project was to introduce the second deodouriser, furthering plant expansion and performance.

The project involved installation of a new 70t, 36mtr long deodouriser vessel within the existing building along with fabrication and installation of the associated carbon steel and stainless steel process and utility piping.

During the planned shutdown in January, Studley’s Mechanical team carried out the remaining tie-ins to the existing plant, completing the project safely and on time.

Project Statistics:
Total cost: £1.2 million
Total meters: 2000
Duration: 16 weeks
Total hours: 11,000

“We were particularly pleased with the planning and management of the project, with small teams working on multiple work fronts, ensuring that it was completed within the timeframe that we set”.
Jim Park (NBOL. Plant Manager)

“Our team on site along with the back up of our workshops in Liverpool, successfully met the challenge of the phase 2 construction, this was carried out without any impact to productivity and the day to day running of the existing plant”.
Steve Kendrick, (SEL. Mechanical Project Manager)
